MyStudyLife is a student planner, and it is honest about the timetable problem. Their public site describes a free planner for classes, homework, and exams, including rotating timetables such as week A/B and day cycles. If that rotation is the thing your school uses, read their own page before you move: mystudylife.com.
This post does not invent a numeric cap for MyStudyLife. They are not in the free-tier table we checked on 10 October 2026, and a missing number is not a zero.
TalonTodo is the alternative when you also want study sets and group work in the same account as the planner. The free plan is 10 active classes, reminders included, no cutoff on finished tasks, and no member cap on a group. Open it at app.talontodo.com/register.
Where the products differ
| Job | MyStudyLife, as published | TalonTodo free |
|---|---|---|
| Classes, homework, exams | Yes. Their site describes this as the product. | Yes. 10 active classes on the free plan. |
| Rotating timetables | Their site says week A/B and day cycles are supported. | Not the thing this app is built around. |
| Flashcards and practice tests | Not the reason students open it. | Test, Learn, Match, Written, and Mixed, with no per-set cap. |
| Group projects | Not claimed here. | No member cap. |
| Typing a task as a sentence | Not claimed here. | Plain-language entry for dates, times, and classes. |
The TalonTodo numbers are from the app's free plan, checked 10 October 2026. The MyStudyLife column is only what their site says in public. It is not a scraped limit from a pricing table.
Which gap you actually have
Stay with MyStudyLife if the week rotates and you already trust that schedule. Rebuilding a rotating timetable inside a generic to-do list is a bad trade.
Look at TalonTodo if the planner is fine and the missing pieces are practice tests, a group that is larger than a pair, or typing "chapter 4 reading Thursday 9pm" instead of filling a form. Those three are the Quizlet comparison, the group planner, and plain-language homework. The class list itself is A Free Assignment Tracker for Students.
